Too Blessed To Be Stressed!!

I can't believe it's February already! Where did January go to? lol! Well, we are pretty much all settled here in our rental place in Potter County, PA. It's such a pretty and rural area, I just LOVE it! I am hoping to get scrapping soon, I've missed it! Next saturday is a 4 hour crop in Bradford PA that I'm hoping to go to. It's not a long time to scrap, but hey, at least I'll be able to get out of the house for a little while without the kids, lol! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my little girls, but this momma needs a little break once in awhile! ;)

Well, my word for the year is "SIMPLIFY"............ I think that I've been doing an amazing job sticking to that so far this year too! I've been trying not buy things that I do not need and throwing things out that will just clutter up an area. I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep this up once we actually find a new house to buy down here! Everything just looks soooooo much better without all the clutter around, I LOVE it!

That's about it for today........I am HOPING to get a little scrappy this afternoon or evening, we'll see how that goes! Have a wonderful weekend!

I can hardly believe that this year is just about over, and 2012 is about to begin!
It's been a pretty good year for our family and we are in for alot of changes in the new year. We are still waiting for our house in NY to sell, we are renting right a place now in Northeastern Pa., and we are hoping to purchase a new home by the end of the new year.

I am also hoping to do a bit more scrapbooking in the new year! One way to help me with this is going to be the super fun Sketch-A-Thon that Scrap-Friendzy is having from January 1 - 31! If you are looking for some inspiration to start off the new year right, then look no further! Scrap-Friendzy is a friendly place and filled with tons of inspiration!

Wow, it's November 1 already! Can you believe it? Thanksgiving will soon be here and then Christmas! Wow!! I sooooo love this time of year......I guess it's time to start cranking that Christmas music! lol!! I'll have to try to find some good Christmas movies on netflix to watch too!

Normally I am really really excited to decorate everything, but this year is a little bit different. We are trying to sell our house and hoping to move to Pennsylvania soon! I don't want to get the house all decorated just to have to take it all back down again. I'd rather wait til we get our new house and get THAT all decorated up and celebrate there.........even if it is after the Holidays.......I think it would make it all the more special! I don't know, what do you think?

Hopefully our house will sell very soon.....I know the Lord has something wonderful in store for our family and I am very excited to see what it is that He has for us! I am ready to move and ready for whatever comes along on this new adventure. I know that God has everything, EVERYTHING, in His control......I just need to leave it with Him and not worry, but.......my human nature does the worry thing a little too well unfortunately. I would appreciate any and all prayers that our house will sell quickly and that we can celebrate the upcoming holidays in a new house to help make that house our new HOME!

We are Moving!!!!!!!

Yes folks, you heard that right.......my family is moving! Not toooo far away, but far enough!! This has been in the process since the beginning of this year, in January........at first, we thought we were going to move in March, and then things happened and we didn't move...........this time, things are working out for us to move. Right now, we are in a small village just south of Buffalo, NY......we are going to be moving to Pa.! It's going to be a BIG change, but we believe that's where the Lord is calling us at this time in our life. God will see us through! Our oldest daughter will need the most help to make this transition I think........moving to a new house, new school, trying to make new friends.....it's going to be tough on her. Our youngest daughter doesn't really understand yet what's happening......she is only 3. Hubby is sooooo excited to start a new job doing something he really and truly loves! I am also somewhat excited to start this new adventure......I say somewhat because I am going to miss this house that we have called our home for TEN years!!! (well, with the exception of living in NC for 3 months back in '07!) When you've lived someplace for THAT long, raised your children in this home, made sooooo many memories in this home, had bbq's, parties, nieces and nephews spending the night, cooked so many meals, baked cookies and other yummy desserts........it's bound to be tough to leave it and call someplace else home, but, this is JUST a house, right? We can make another house a HOME and fill it with good memories also. Our next home will be filled with love and laughter also, just like this one. I will miss our church first and foremost, our community, and our family.......but, thank goodness we will still be close enough to travel back to see family if want to on the spur of the moment! (We are only going to be a couple of hours away!, sooo, not tooooo bad!)

This all actually just took place yesterday for us.......hubby accepted the job then. Now comes all the fun stuff......selling the house, making phone calls, packing and unpacking, finding a place to live down there, and all sorts of FUN things, lol!! We are also not sure if hubby is going down before us, or if all of us will be able to go at once.....please keep our situation in prayer!! Thanks!

What I'm thinking of doing is posting pics on my progress of moving and other such things that go on during this process. We'll see how far I get with that! Just wanted to let ya'all know what was going on, so if I am NOT around for awhile, you'll know what happened to me!

Another year older!

I can't believe I am another year older today.............sheesh, where does the time go to?? I still FEEL like I am in my 20's and I've even been told that I LOOK like I am in my 20's.......soooooo, my question is, why can't we STAY that age that we like? lolol!! I'm just teasing! I thank my Lord that I am alive and well, and that He has graced me with another birthday and another well spent year with my family! I have sooooooo much to be thankful for and I just thank my Lord Jesus for all the many blessings that He has bestowed on me!

It's Been Awhile!

It's been awhile since I last posted, but boy have I been busy!! I recently started a little photography business, which is coming along slow but sure.....I've been editing tons of pictures and having alot of fun with the families and other clients. I haven't been able to scrap as much as I want, so I am going to have to learn some time management I think, lol, so as I can have my scrappy time!! Well, yesterday and today have been very busy and productive days for me......I'm getting ALOT accomplished around the house, even with a three year old running around too! I am thankful that my other dd Julie is back in school......can't believe that she is in 3rd grade already! WOW!! I hope and pray that she has a wonderful year! The Day After Rachel's 3rd birthday party.........

The big birthday celebration for Rachel! Well, it wasn't all that big of a party, but most of the family was here.....we really missed the others that weren't able to show up, but we know they were here in spirit! Rachel had such a fun time with her cousins. We got her a Curious George cake because she has been watching "Curious George 2: Follow that Monkey" sooo much lately.....I just thought it would be appropiate for her, lol! Here is a picture of her cake!

We also had cookies and cream ice cream with the cake....YUM!! For dinner though, I had made bbq pulled pork in the crockpot, macaroni salad, and beans.......yummy!! LOVE birthdays and "food" get togethers, lol! Here is a picture of Rachel for her 3rd birthday celebration!

What a beautiful day today!
I can't believe that my littlest girl has turned 3 already! Boy, my two girls are growing up so quickly right in front of me! Tonight we are having a celebration for our littlest girl Rachel with the fam.........should be a fun time! It's supposed to rain later on tonight, so I'm hoping the rain will hold off until we are done with her party! Here is my pretty little girl with one of her serious looks, lol!

Tonsil and Adenoid Surgery

Well, this past Friday, July 15, my oldest daughter Julie had her tonsils and adenoids out.........boy has it been quiet around here! She is 8 years old and is usually running around and yelling and just being your regular happy go lucky kid! It's kind of strange seeing her so mellow and quiet, it's almost like she's not even here! I know she's probably just not feeling up to par. She's drinking lots of water and ice pops.....just started some pudding today.....hopefully I'll get a pic on here soon of her at the hospital after she came out of surgery....asleep. Wow, I can't believe that it's June already! Where does time go?? Julie will be out of school here pretty soon......I can't believe that she's going to be done with 2nd grade........I'm going to have a 3rd grader on my hands....amazing!!! Julie will be 8 at the end of this month and Rachel is going to be 3 in August! They are growing soooooo fast! I hope also that June is filled with many sunny and warm days to make up for the cold spring we had!

Memorial Day Weekend 2011

WOW! What a great weekend! The sun was shining for most of it too, so that helped alot! Spent some much needed time together with family and friends, good food, parades, and of course picture taking time! lol!! I love taking pics of the kids, they can give me some cute poses and looks when they want to! We even went to the Lakeview Cemetery for Memorial Day ceremonies......beautiful ceremony!

I can't believe that June is just about here! Three more weeks and dd Julie will be out of school for the summer! Yay!! I always look forward to summertime and not being in such a routine for things. Well, here are some pics that I took this weekend! Have a great week and enjoy!

Wow, has it been almost a month since I last posted?! Oh my, I will try to be better about that! We've only had a couple really nice days so far for this Spring season, otherwise it's been rather rainy, cold, and gloomy......hopefully the Summer season will be VERY nice to us! I am in need of much warmer weather here!! lol!

First Beautiful Spring Day!!!

It was gorgeous today!
Sooooooo nice out!!
Spent the morning at the AMVETS auxiliary breakfast helping out, then down to grammy's for a BEAUTIFUL day outside playing with the kids and grilling out, then brought home my niece Isabella for a couple nights during her school vacation!
Hopefully I'll get to scrap or take some pictures tomorrow!

I am soooo excited to show you my layout reveal for today using the coolest sketch that Sassy Lil' Sketches provided! I had sooooo much fun with products from our sponsor, Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker, this month, that is, after I finally got them, lolol!! Some of us had a little trouble getting our products but things finally worked out!! And WOW, I am soooo glad they did! I ended up doing two layouts using this awesome sketch!

Here is my layout using just about all products from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker, with the exception of the two flowers and the pink ribbon...This is from the Max and Mollie Line....isn't it the cutest!!!...and the amazing sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches! I also flipped the placement of the pictures from the sketch, other than that, it's pretty close to the sketch!

What a beautiful day it was today......the sun was out shining and mommy got to be a little bit scrappy again too! WoooooHoooooo!!! This layout I did was for the March Doodling challenge at Sassy Lil' Sketches ..... it is of my daughters on Christmas morning with their presents from Santa Claus! They were thrilled and had soooo much fun playing with them! I used sketch #2 from the Dotted with Love Crop that we had in February! I had been wanting to use it and finally found a couple of pics that were just perfect!

Yay me!!!
I finally got scrappy today! It felt sooooooo good!! I used the October 7, 2010 sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches, and it was for the March Monster challenge at the same site! I didn't have any monster stickers or paper, so I found some little monster clipart online! Aren't they just the cutest?! I've also recently found another scrapbooking site called Sisterhood of Scrap which seems to be a wonderful place to hang out as well as my other two sites........if you get a chance, stop by and say that I sent you!! They have March Madness challenges going on right now which I think is pretty cool! Lots of inspiration for some cool layouts and cards and projects!!

Nice surprise phone call this morning telling us there wasn't any school! Yay, back to bed I went! Had a fairly nice relaxing day with my girls....stayed at home in jammies.....did some cleaning, laundry, dishes, and made some cookies! Watched a movie today too, while dd Rachel was taking a nap! DD Julie helped with laundry a bit.....pretty soon I may be able to have her do it all! LOL! Didn't get any scrappy time today......hoping to tomorrow though! Stop by Sassy Li'l Sketches for a visit and tell them that Lisa (scrapadoodler) sent you! We have a Valentine's crop planned for Feb.4 if you'd like to stop by! Nope, none just yet, but I'm still hoping!! I am working on cleaning up the bedroom today and also my scrappy space, which is in the bedroom! I am going to pack away a few things too to make it less cluttered for me and hopefully more enjoyable to sit down and scrap! This year I think is gonna be great! Sooooo many possibilities and opportunities await...just gotta get out there and grab 'em!!

2011 is almost here!!!

And soooo many fun things are in store for the new year! The first thing going on to end 2010 and to start off 2011 is our church's annual New Year's Eve AD Free Party overnight party......(AD free = alcohol and drug free).....they have pizza, bounce houses, bands, speakers, games, contests, and all sorts of fun! It'll be a blast to say the least!

The second thing to start off the new year is a fun Sketch-A-Thon at Scrap-Friendzy......now all of you scrappers or card makers might just love this...all new sketches for you to be inspired by all month long for January 2011!! Come check it out! I know you'll love it!

The third thing is that I am trying to start my own photography business...I have a couple of names for it floating around in my head, but if you have any ideas for it, I would really love to hear them!!

The fourth thing is a BIG HUGE surprise that I have to share, but cannot share it until January 1, 2011!! I am soooo super duper pumped up excited, and I cannot wait to tell you all what it is!! You'll just have to wait a couple more days for the BIG HUGE surprise!!

Finally.......the new year of 2011 holds many many different events and situations to come.....I pray to the precious Lord above, that HE may direct my paths during this new year, and that HE may take all the Glory!!

3 Days before Christmas!

Wow, can you believe it?! Christmas is just about here......it takes so long to get here and then "POOF!", it's gone in a day! I am just about done wrapping presents, didn't have to get toooo many this year, lol!! I didn't make hardly any Christmas cookies this year, although dd Julie did make a few cutouts a couple of weeks ago, maybe I'll make some tonight! I'm just not stressing over anything this year, and you know what...it's working! I'm not worried about anything......not worried if anyone likes their gift or not, not worried about cookies, or Christmas dinner......just taking it one day at a time and enjoying the season! I love it!! Especially the candy canes....yummy!! lol!!

Oh, I tried out for the Design team at Sassy Lil' Sketches so I'm waiting to hear back about that! I'm hoping that I make it, but if not, that's okay too, it's still a wonderful fun site that I enjoy being a part of!

STILL Snowing and Blowing......WOW!!!

Life is chilly here in western NY..Wow...this snow doesn't seem like it's going to stop........I'm already at the point where I want spring already!! haha!!

Well, today was rather a boring day.....didn't do a whole lot of housework, but I did make a short trip to our local library! It wasn't snowing tooo bad when I went. I found some good books for Julie to help her with her reading, and then I looked at some of the New Better Homes and Gardens Christmas books they had just put out! I found a cute book filled with crafty ornaments to make, so we'll see if I get creative enough to make some before Christmas actually gets here! LOL!!

Then, after Julie got home from school today, we worked on her homework and got that done........then I found a couple of pages from her reading workbook to do. I told her she's going to keep doing these workbook pages til she's reading and understanding what she reads very well!! Not sure how long it'll be, but I'm hoping it won't be tooooo long!

After her homework was done, after supper was finished, and after she and her sister played for awhile........we started to make some cut out cookies! I had the dough in the fridge, so I set it out to room temp today so it would be workable enough for us tonite! I showed Julie how I did things and then let her go to town, well, at least for a couple of cookie sheets anyhow, then we ran out of time for fun! It was time for bed soon, and SURVIVOR, can't forget that!!!! haha!!

Finally, mommy is having a little quiet time, well ALMOST quiet time......Rachel didn't go to sleep due to her cold and stuffy nose, so she's on the couch watching Calliou on netflix.

Maybe she'll fall asleep there, I don't know.......Mom's can dream, can't they?! haha!! Oh well, that's all for today....enjoy the pics and hopefully I'll remember to post tomorrow!

Wow, what a day it is here in western NY, it's snowing and blowing...AGAIN!! LOL..that's about all it ever seems to do in the winter here in this state, oh well, it's ok, I don't HAVE to go anywhere so I can stay all warm and cozy here at home! :)

Today is "Trying to catch up on Laundry Day"! I'm getting there, little by little!

It's Snowing!!

It's so pretty outside today! I love watching it snow, especially when it's the light pretty snow! Well, thinking about making some cookies today and maybe taking a trip to Erie, Pa.. Julie has been wanting another build a bear and I have a coupon for a free bear up to $12, so I forsee a Build-A-Bear trip! A good friend from college, Sarah, is also going to Erie to see one of her sons, so I might meet up with her as well as long as the weather permits!

I don't have a picture yet for today for my December Daily Album, but I'm hoping to get one later on! I forgot to post yesterday and the 2nd so here is a picture from the 2nd for my album!

I did not get a picture for yesterday, but I was able to get out a little bit to dollar tree to get Julie some reading workbooks and to Wal*Mart for a few more Christmas things....maybe I can get a picture of those! I also watched "Babes in Toyland" last night...WOW,Drew Barrymore was sooooooooo young in that one, lol!! I haven't seen that in Years!! It was pretty good, not to mention rather funny!!

Well, I better close for now...have alot to do today!

Today has been a pretty nice day.......fairly relaxing, doing some chores, and watching it snow outside! It really is starting to look like alot like Christmas! :)

Our littlest one thought that the snow looked so good that she decided to try eating some of it!

Well, I guess it's pretty good! LOLOL!!

Tree Decorating Night!

Well, last night we actually decorated our Christmas tree with some ornaments.....some old ones and some new shiny red bulbs that I bought today! Julie had fun putting some icicles on the tree as well! Rachel just ran around bugging her sister and eating a candy cane, lol!! Aaaahhh, such is life! Here are some pics for ya!

It was so much fun watching julie decorate the tree.......although I did rearrange some bulbs and ornaments to spread them around a bit and not have them all gathered together in a few spots........I know, I know....I should've just left them where she put them, but.......I couldn't do it, lol!! Well, maybe I will see if I can find my christmas houses to put up someplace.....I know they are here somewhere! I found our stockings yesterday too, so those will go up on the fireplace. I really hope to get some scrappy time today, it would make me happy!!!........I really want to start a December Daily album and get some Christmas gifts made!!

Wow, has it REALLY been since September since I last blogged?? I really need to be better about this.......good thing New Year's is coming up so I can make my resolution to do just that! Be a better blogger! Then again, why do I need to wait til New Year's, I can just start now, right??!! Right! Well, we'll see how well I actually do, lol!!

Well, I can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is next week.....for some reason, it just doesn't seem possible, this year has been flying by so quickly! It really has been a good year all in all.....thank the Lord above!! I am praying that 2011 will be even better! I really feel that it's gonna be THE year that I REALLY buckle down and start getting healthy....although, I'm already making small changes now! :)

Thanksgiving 2010.......I have sooooo much to be thankful for! I don't have room to list everything, but a few of the many blessings that God has blessed me with are: my husband, my two little girls, my church, my home, my family and friends, and my health. I love Thanksgiving Day to spend with the family and just have a quiet day together. I hope and pray that all of you have a Blessed Thanksgiving as well.......enjoy your families and be thankful for what the Good Lord Above as provided for you!

Here are my two little girls at the end of summer!

I can't believe that summer has come and "almost" gone so quickly! School starts up for us here in my part of NY on September 7, so I'm looking forward to that! Mommy hopefully will get a LITTLE more quiet time while dd Julie is at school for the day! BUT, with dd Rachel on the move and getting into things now, I might be just as busy, we'll see!

Another good thing about summer being almost over is that I get to start my position as Guest Designer for My Sketch World on September 1!!! Yay!! I am sooooooooooooo looking forward to this. It's a wonderful wonderful place to be and always soooooo much going on! Tons and tons of inspiration as well, stop by when you get the chance!

First exciting piece of news is: today is our 14th wedding anniversary........yep, hubby and I have been married for 14 years.......doesn't seem that long yet! LOL! We are going to dinner tonite and maybe a movie, we'll see how long grammy wants to watch the girls for?!! LOL

Second piece of exciting news is: I am going to be Guest Designer for the month of September at My Sketch World! Yay me!!!!!!! I am soooooooo excited and very thankful to Lucy for giving me this chance! You rock Lucy!!

It's Been Waaaay Too Long!

Wow, I can't believe it's been since June that I've posted! What a bad blogger I am, lol! Well, I've been taking it easy this summer....and the girls and I have been having a blast! Julie has been taking swimming lessons and Rachel plays at the beach playground and I sit at the picnic tables and relax and chat with the girls there. What a blessing this beach has been this summer, omgoodness!! Julie has been going ALMOST everyday for free swim......missed a few days here and there, but for the most part, we've been there most of the summer.

I've been doing a little bit of scrappiness this summer too. I've been involved with Scrap Friendzy's scrap camp called Camp Friendzy.....that's been helping to make the summer fun too! My girlz there are sooooo wonderful and sooooo talented! If you get a chance, stop by and say hello, maybe even join if you feel up the challenge!

I've also gone back to one of my other scrappy sites........My Sketch World owned by Lucy Chesna..........she and the girls there are sooooooo wonderful as well and also, another VERY talented scrappy board!!

Well, today was our youngest daughter's birthday.........I cannot believe that she turned 2 today! Where has the time gone?! We celebrated down at grammy's house and what a lovely day it was too.........sunshine, cool breezes, no humidity.......just perfect! Pictures to follow soon!

Today is also the year anniversary of my father passing away.......I didn't really get to know him, but he and I were in the process of getting to know one another and I wish that I would've been able to. I had soooooo many questions for him, and I also wanted him to see his only two granddaughters. Maybe someday we will see him again.

This has been such a fun month at From Here 2 Scrapternity....we are having a birthday bash over there!! There was even a challenge to bake a birthday cake, but in order to get the points, we had to have a picture taken of it with US in the picture! I did get a pic of me with the cake, but I also took a pic of one of my dd's and her cousin with it too, cuz they were the ones that help to make the cake! Here are the pics!

Today was such a gorgeous spring day, still a little bit chilly, but oh so sunny out! Sooooooo, dd Julie wanted to go to one of the playgrounds around, so I said yes! Her little sister Rachel loved it there too! I think I am going to have some fun pics to scrap from these!!

I am hoping this winter is now finally over! It's been a bad winter for the girls this year.......they've been sick pretty much the whole winter! Rachel just got over having hives........still not exactly sure what she was allergic too, and hoping it won't happen again! The girls and I are sooooo ready for the warmer weather to be here so we can be outside!

It looks like it might be a nice day today! I sure hope so! I am ready for SPRING! I'm doing a little bit of spring cleaning today....need to get the kitchen and Julie's bathroom all clean and spiffy! Well, we'll see how far I get! Laterz!

Sickly St. Patty's Day

Poor Julie is sick again.......she was sick just a couple of weeks or so ago......now we find out that she has strep throat.....great, just great!! Well, at least I think we caught this early.......I'm glad that I got her to the doc right away and not wait for a day this time....hopefully she'll start feeling better soon with her meds......here's hoping!! I also hope that Rachel will not get sick....I don't think I could handle that too!! I'd appreciate any and all prayers! Thanks!!

Wow, March came in like a lamb this year........that can't be good news can it? Just means most likely that it'll leave like a lion! I hope not cuz I am sooooo ready for spring like weather! A little over halfway through February, and also a little over halfway through my guest designer term at From Here 2 Scrapternity! I can't believe how fast this month is flying by!! I have also been invited to a new scrappy site called In A Scrap Creations by my scrappy friend Amanda! Thanks girl!! Looks like it'll be a pretty cool place to hang out!
I haven't had alot of time for scrapping lately, due to my girls being sick, and also myself being sick.....wintertime sure stinks at times! Well, hopefully this tylenol nighttime for colds will kick in soon! LOL! Maybe I'll get a good night's rest tonite! Here's hoping!!

Well, at From Here 2 Scrapternity, we just finished up our monthly crop this past weekend.....wow, it was sooooo much fun, but I couldn't participate as much as I had hoped, due to me getting sick, but I did mangage to get a couple challenges done! Here are a couple of the challenges that I came up with for the crop!
Here is my "I {heart} U! box......it was an altered challenge to either use the actual "I {heart} U! or to use an actual heart in place of the word and brackets...it could be interpreted however you wanted......it was fun to see all the creations! Here is mine:

Well, I am hoping that February slows down just a little bit, even though I am not too fond of the cold and snow, I still love spending time with my family and treasuring every moment! I hope I get some great photos for this next month because I am TRYING to work on this thing called Project 12....it's where I scrapbook things that happen each month and document them, then I can put them together in their own album......it'll be cool to go thru it at the end of the year and see what we did and how we've changed! Anyhow, I hope that I keep on top of this!

Yesterday I got to spend some time scrapping!! Hubby let me go to a crop, so I got a few pages done! Yay!!

Tomorrow is the day that I start as the Guest Designer at From Here 2 Scrapternity , it's a great place to be! It is a faith-based scrapbooking message board that has very friendly people, great challenges, and inspiring layouts and projects. I just got news that I have been chosen as the Feb. 2010 Guest Designer at From Here 2 Scrapternity........I am soooooooooooooo excited, I cannot wait to get started! I am just over joyed! From Here 2 Scrapternity is a wonderful scrapbook message board to be on........lots of wonderful people and many inspirational layouts, and awesome crops just about every month! Today was also a very exciting day for my oldest daughter........her top front tooth fell out at school on her way to her first grade art class. She said it fell right out and onto the floor......I was surprised that she found it! LOL! It was sent home in an envelope for her to show the tooth fairy tonite!

The baby is finally feeling better too......she's had pneumonia for the past few days. I took her to the doctor monday and the doc said she was getting better, but now she has an ear infection, so we had to switch antibiotics....thank goodness for the wonderful pediatrician we have!! He's the bestest!

Well, had kind of a slow uneventful day today..........just the good 'ol household chores and such......what a great life! lol!! Played with baby Rachel for awhile today, and bejeweled blitz on Facebook........then, when Julie came home we worked on her homework......wow, can't believe what they are teaching 1st graders now! She's already learning about coins, and what are the fewest coins to make a certain amount, and how to write dollars and cents and all that.....I don't think I learned that til maybe at least 3rd grade or 4th?! I don't know, I can't really remember back THAT far, lol!! This stuff is pretty tough for a 1st grader to handle, at least I think it is.......but thank goodness, I think Julie is grasping it! Well, we'll see what tomorrow holds! lol!

Now we are sitting here watching Knight Rider reruns, and just relaxing having some family time.........well, I suppose I better get dd Julie ready for bed and stories read to her.......til next time!

Wow, I can't believe we are in a new year already, and 2010 nonetheless! I hope this will be a great year for everybody! God bless you all!!

Well, Julie and I spent New Year's eve at church.....she had fun on the inflatables! They clear out the sanctuary and fill it with bouncy goodness! The kids have a blast! I will post some pics later, due to my computer not working right! lol!! Mark volunteered to be a chaperone for the teen overnighter at church on New Year's.......Julie, Rachel, and I were in bed by 9pm! I know, we are party poopers! lol!! Oh well, we needed the rest!

On to scrapbooking......there will be a January cyber crop at From Here 2 Scrapternity on the 15th - 17th.......I promise it will be a blast! Please stop by and check it out! Lots of fun challenges and lots of fabulous prizes also!

And soooooooo much to do! LOL!! OK, deep breaths........things will get done, they always do!! I don't need to stress out now, just keep at things and get things done one thing at a time! Right? Right!! SNOW DAY!!!!!!

Yup, we had our first snow day yesterday! Boy was I happy!! I didn't get to sleep in, but I didn't have to go out in all that blustery goodness outside!! It was horrible! Blizzard and whiteout.......fun fun FUN!! Well, that's Southwestern NY for ya! Well anyhow........Julie got to stay home from school......she went outside to play a couple times, then came inside to have hot chocolate and take a nice hot bath to warm herself up! We didn't have boots for Rachel yet, so we couldn't take her outside to play......
Later that night after daddy got home, we started a game of Monopoly.....Julie's first time with this game......I think we've created a monopoly monster, lol!! She's getting the hang of it and she's only 6!!!! We got tired and left the game on the dining room table to play the next day!

We woke up this morning (saturday) and started playing again.......lol.....let me tell ya, Julie is really hooked! I played for awhile more, then I left to take Rachel and go to Walmart.....we got some more stuff to make cookies and we found Rachel a pair of boots! Yay!!!! After we got home, daddy was cleaning the rugs and told us that he beat Julie in Monopoly! Julie had to sell her three railroads to pay $950 rent to daddy for one of his properties........it was funny to hear daddy tell about it..........anyhow........I think this game will definately be a family favorite to play from now on!

Build a Bear Workshop surprise for Julie!

WOWZERS, what a loooooooooooong day! A very good day, but very long!
Here was our schedule, lol!
Wake up, have breakfast and get dd Julie off to school
Do some picking up and cleaning around here and take shower
Pick dd Julie up at school at 11:15a.m. (she had a short day due to parent/teacher conferences)
Go to Paper Factory store, Tim Horton's, and then head to Erie, Pa. for dd Julie's surprise day!
Arrive in Erie at Millcreek Mall............head to Build-a-bear-workshop!
Had fun there at Build a bear workshop........LOVE that place!! dd Julie made a bunny, made her sister a bear, and made one for her cousin's baby to be. We then picked out outfits for her bunny and Rachel's bear. What a great idea this store is! Love, Love, LOVE it I tell ya!!!!
Then walked around the mall to various stores, and to ACMoore, Michaels, and then to dinner!
Dinner at Old Country Buffet, and then to Chuck E. Cheese's for some play time!
After that we stopped by Joann's to check out some stuff!
Then finally, started back home to take grammy home.
Got to grammy's and I went in to grab a pepsi, and some christmas lights.
Came out of grammy's holding the lights, stepped down the two outside steps and slipped in the mud!!
Down I went! Pants got ALL filled with mud on the back side.......talk about cold! lolol!!
Oh well, didn't get hurt, just all muddy, lol!
Had to take them off so I didn't get mud all over the truck for the ride home, lol!
Got home and hubby brought me out another pair of pants.
Came inside and got dd's ready for bed!
dd Julie said today was THE MOST WONDERFUL SURPRISE IN THE WHOLE WORLD!
She loved the Build-a-bear-workshop and is so very thankful for her wonderful grammy!
What a wonderful day! (well, except for slipping in the mud that is, lol!!)

Wow, where has this month gone??? I haven't blogged at all this month, shame on me! LOL! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We sure did! We went out to eat with hubby's mom, so we didn't have to do anything except show up! Can't beat that! Anyhow.........

Boy, what a gloomy day it was today...rain, rain, and more rain!! While Julie was at school, baby Rachel and I played today and not much else......I was hoping to get to laundry and other housework, but, I played hooky from that today, lol!! There's always tomorrow!! LOL!!

Boy, it sure is beautiful outside right now! The sun is shining, the wind is blowing the leaves around, it's not tooo chilly out, and it smells like fall too!! I just love the smell of all the leaves and the crisp fall air!

Last Day of September 2009

Wow, hasn't September just flown by! I can't believe it! Tomorrow October starts, and then Thanksgiving will be here, and then..............Christmas! Wow!! Oh no, that means that SNOW will be here shortly......we didn't have too much of a summer, can't we have some more summer?!! Oh well, guess not....that's Chautauqua county for you here in NY!

Well, it's a rainy cold gloomy day today..........Julie has her picture taken at school today.......I hope it turns out good! They usually do, but I always worry that she will spill or make some funny face or something.

Rachel is walking around like a champ now.......even trying to run and climb too....she's my other little monkey!

I sure hope to get scrappy soon........haven't been tooooo scrappy lately.....although I did do a couple of challenges at a couple online crops that have been held recently, but that's about it! lol! I also need to get the front porch all decorated too, hopefully the weather will cooperate with me here one of these days, and then I can take some pictures too!

Here is Julie, all ready for 1st grade!

She wanted a messenger bag this year and a different lunch bag.....so, we found something for her! Her mess. bag is in her fave color.....PINK! And her lunch bag has one of her fave characters on it......Tink! She was so excited this morning to be going back to school....she said, "I just love school!" "Mommy, Mrs. Scudder has all new children too!" Mrs. Scudder is her 1st grade teacher.

Wow, it's been almost a month since I last posted! Gonna have to buckle down and post on a regular basis here, lol!! Anyhow.....it's labor day and I am relaxing today........tomorrow Julie starts school! I can't believe she is going to be in the first grade. Her teacher this year is Mrs. Scudder and I've heard she is just a wonderful teacher! Speaking of school, lol...........I have found a new scrapbook message board that is having a "Back to school Cramfest"!! It's from today, Sept. 7 through Oct.4! It sounds like sooooo much fun! The Tooth Fairy Came!!

DD Julie finally lost her front bottom two teeth.......they've been wiggling for a few days now and they BOTH finally came out last night!! Yay!! She got $4 from the tooth fairy!!....that's $2 a tooth!! Wow, the tooth fairy's prices have sky-rocketed!! lol!!

This morning we went to watch the 4th of July parade in Mayville.....it was rather chilly, instead of hot like it normally is! Oh well, it was fun anyhow! Just dressed a little warmer! Boy, oh boy, was this parade looooooong!! We left about half to three quarters of the way thru it! After we got home, daddy put some chicken in the smoker.....mmmmmmmm........what an awesome smell to be smelling all day long! yummy!! So, we had chicken for dinner tonite, now we are getting ready to leave to meet some friends back in Mayville for fireworks tonite, and check out some of the other stuff they have going in the park for the 4th celebration! Should be pretty fun, but very tiring! Gonna get myself a doughboy too.......I only get one like twice a year, so watch out people, HERE I COME!! lol!! Well, gotta get ready to go, so I'll catch ya'all later!

That's right, today is my little Julie's 6th birthday!! What a great day she has had too!! She brought cupcakes to school today (funfetti cakes with white frosting and sprinkles!), she only had half a day of school, she got to do ALMOST anything she wanted when she got home today (she played wii!), then she had a soccer game tonite and she scored a goal plus she stopped two balls from getting into the other teams goal, then we went to Applebee's for dinner and they sang happy birthday to her and she got a free sundae, and then we came home! Wasn't this just a great day to have?!! I sure hope MY birthday is this good! LOL!!

Other than that, not to much going on...........just getting the inside and outside of the house ready for her party this weekend! We are expecting quite a few people and kids!! OY!! What did I get myself into, LOL! I know everything will turn out okay, it almost usually does anyhow! Just alot to get ready is all.......anyhow......that's all for today! Will try to keep up at least once a week or so now!

What a Day!!!!!

Today started out soooooooo nice......the sunshine was out, it was warm outside, and everything just looked like it was going to be beautiful!!! Well, that beautiful went right down the drain!!

I got the news today that my niece, who is going to be 16 in september, is pregnant! Oh my gosh!!!! This just can't be!! I can't believe it! But, she went to the doctor and it turns out she really is! Wow......this has hit my like a ton of bricks! This girl has been like a daughter to me through out her life....I just want to strangle her!! I guess THAT'S out of the question NOW!! I hope for her baby's sake, that she straightens up and starts taking responsibility and accountability for her own actions and words.....up to now, she hasn't.....she blames everyone else.....well, we'll see what happens!! Sorry to vent, but I had to get it out! I hope and pray that all goes well for her, I really do...but that poor baby......there are already 6 kids in that family!! They barely have enough money now as it is to support their family, and with another child on the way......OMGosh! Well, it's done now. She is going to finish school!! No more miss nice aunt!! LOL!! Okay, that's enough for today! Thanks for listening!

That's right, I finally had a little bit 'O scrappy time the past couple of days.....not much, but enough that I did a layout over those couple of days! LOL!! I even made my own paper flowers on it! Pretty cool eh?! LOL! Well, I thought so.

Mother's Day Weekend

What a wonderful Mother's Day weekend I had! Hubby and girls got mommy some flowers! Aren't they soooooooo pretty?!!

There's a funny story behind the flowers though, it still makes me giggle! Hubby had ordered some roses online for me to get the Thursday before Mother's Day.....well, Thursday came, and hubby called to see if I got a delivery. I said, "Nope, nothing today!" He said "WHAT???!!!, They were supposed to be here today!" Well, he called and complained that his order did not arrive, even though it gave confirmation of it being delivered online! Well, the company told him that they'd send a new order, but I wouldn't get it for Mother's Day. Well, little did we know, the flowers had been left at our neighbors house at the end of our driveway. I got them Friday morning. When I brought them home, I called hubby to tell him that I got the first order! He asked how I liked the roses! I said, "They aren't roses, but they are very pretty!" Here is a picture of the pretty bouquet!

He said they were SUPPOSED to be ROSES! Well, that's okay I said, we'll see what the next order brings, if it makes it to our house! LOL! Well, hubby called today and asked if I got a delivery......I told him no at first but then I went to check at the front door, and there was a box! He said, okay, let's open it and make sure we got roses this time!! Lo and behold, we got roses this time! They are just beautiful!! All different colors too.....I just LOVE them! I told hubby that I LOVE flowers, any kinds really....they all just smell sooooo wonderful! Anyhow....here are some pictures of my pretty roses!! I have such a wonderful family!

And they even gave me some time to scrap over the weekend.....it was a great weekend!

May Days

Here is a picture of park of the 100 acre park near JCC where we went to help beat the heat one day.......not sure if it helped or not! LOL!!

Wow, I can't believe that the first week of May is gone already! That was so fast! Rachel is standing a little bit on her own now, even if it is just for a few seconds, it's on her own!! She is saying Ma ma ma ma ma now more than ever.....boy, that makes mommy feel good! LOL!! I can't believe that she's 9 months!! What a little bundle of joy she is! I love my little baby girl! Here is a pic of her feeling the heat when we were at the 100 acre park by JCC April 27. Doesn't she look warm?!!

Julie loves playing with her little sister too, although sometimes she can be just a little toooo rough, but I guess that's to be expected! We just watch to make sure nobody gets hurt! LOL!! Julie is almost finished with this school year, another six weeks or so!! Yay!! I can't wait for this year to be finished, it hasn't been a terrible year for Julie, but it hasn't been that great either. I hope that she has a good first grade teacher next year, one that help encourage her to be excited to learn. She loves to read here at home, so I hope that'll continue!! Here are a couple pics of Julie enjoying the warmer weather at the 100 acre park in the creek!

Well, off to do my household chores and such........laundry and picking up are ALWAYS calling my name!! LOL!! I hope to work on a little mommy's day scrapbooking project for my mommy in law! First Sunny and warm day at the Park!

Today after school, Julie, Rachel, and I went to the Gerry Park. I had promised Julie we'd go friday after school if she could go the whole week without any zaps at school.........well, she was a good girl all week at school and no zaps! So mommy kept her promise and we went to the park......the park in Gerry that Julie hadn't been to yet......she didn't have as much fun as she thought, due to the fact that she was feeling a little under the weather and was a little tired as well. She did have some fun as you can tell by the pictures!

It was also a first for baby Rachel to be at the park this year as well! First ride in the baby swing, first time crawling on the grass, and first time watching big sister have a little bit of fun as well.

An Evening with a Princess.......

Today when Julie got home from school, I was going thru her notebook like I always do to see if she has any homework.....and inside there was a note from school. The library was having a story time with the Dairy Princess tonite......she was going to read some stories, play a couple of games, and learn how to make butter! I asked Julie if she wanted to go and of course she said, "YES!" So, that was it! We were going! We got there, and there was just a couple of kids from her school that she knew, and a couple of other older kids.....it was an okay turnout. (Hey, it's just an out in the hicks country library, what do ya expect?! LOL!) Well, it's good it was just a small group. The Dairy Princess was Lynette Chase, and she read some stories to them, played a game, and then came the exciting part for the kids...making real butter out of heavy cream!! BY THEMSELVES!! They had a blast!!

The princess poured just a little bit of heavy cream into plastic cups for the kids, then had them put the lids on tightly, and then shake them til they couldn't shake them any longer, lol!! (They did this in pairs so each child could share the job!) It was so fun to watch! What a neat idea to have the Dairy Princess come and read and share some fun lessons too! This is something that Julie will remember for quite sometime!!

Chuck E. Cheese Day!

Just one of those kinds of days!! Yep, that's right, it was a Chuck E. Cheese type of day today.........we hadn't done anything special over Julie's vacation (she only had a week), so we decided we'd go to Chuck E. Cheese in Erie, Pa. What a fun time Julie had there too!! Grammy went with us to make it even more special! (I think Grammy had fun playing games too!) We also got to go shopping at ACMoore's and Michaels (two of mommy and grammy's favorite stores, LOL!), Babies R Us, and Target. Julie found a Playdoh spaghetti maker......it's really cool!! She also got a couple of Color Wonder coloring books and markers......Wow, these are amazing!! Why didn't I get her these sooner!! LOL!! Then mommy and grammy found some scrapbooking stuff. Mommy needed a couple of albums to START putting pages into...I have a few drawers of pages so I think I need to get them into albums NOW! Daddy made the mistake of telling mommy that she could go on a shopping spree!! Good thing mommy doesn't spend alot of money anyhow, otherwise we would've been in trouble!! LOL! We had a very fun day and it was just gorgeous weather as well, so that made it even better!! On the way home we took the scenic route after hopping off the expressway at the state line, found a McD's to get an ice cream cone, and then drove the back roads thru Amish country all the way home! Easter Weekend

Wow, that's all I can say is Wow!! We had a GREAT Easter weekend!! Daddy was off on Good Friday along with his usual weekend off too....it was great! Three days off together to spend as a family! Friday evening Julie and I colored Easter eggs and had tons of fun! We didn't have too many eggs, but enough that we had fun! Here are some pics!

Then on Saturday we went to Allen Park for an Easter Egg Hunt.....Julie met up with her cousins and her bff Cassie, from school, at the hunt......good thing I got a couple pics beforehand cuz there were waaaaaay too many kids and parents there to get a picture when they were searching for eggs!!! Here are a couple before the hunt, and a couple while playing on the playground!!

After the egg hunt, we went to Lukeus's 5th Birthday party! Here is a pic of Lukeus opening one of his presents....there were alot of kids there!!

Finally on sunday, we spent a quiet Easter sunday at home after going to church in the morning! The girls found their Easter baskets before church in the morning, had an egg hunt after church in our backyard, and then we had Easter dinner. Here are some pics of this special day!

What a great day today was! I got to sleep in, spend time with Julie and have a girls day out with her, spend time with my nieces and nephews, then come home to my hubby and precious little baby Rachel! It was such a windy day today, but the sun came out after awhile and it was just so beautiful out, even though it was freezing!!

While Julie and daddy were playing downstairs, I brought baby Rachel into my room while I cleaned and organized my scrappy area! And boy did it need it!!!! Here is a pic of the newly cleaned table!

Now, after I get Julie and Rachel to sleep, Mommy is going to go into her room and try to get a little bit creative! I have challenges from Two Spotted Dogs to do, or Birthday Bash Crop challenges from Scrapbook Doodle to do, or I have some challenges from My Sketch World to choose from...........believe me, there are tons of other places too, but these are the ones that I am working on right now! Well, that's about it for tonite. If I get scrappy, I will try to post pics tomorrow! Peace out!

Frantic Friday!

Oh my, what a day this has been!!! It started out like any other day and all was going well until............the afternoon!

Well, I needed to stop by Julie's school to pick up Julie and drop off some money for her book order, well, I stopped.......and when we got back out to the truck, I looked at it, and it was leaning toward the other side.....YUP, you guessed it, a FLAT tire! Uuuugggghhhhhh!!!!! It just HAD to happen today, TODAY of all days! Tonite was Julie's program at church and then when daddy came home, he couldn't go to her program cuz he had to fix the truck.

Well, Julie did wonderful at her program tonite, sang all of her songs, new all the motions, and was singing "Jesus is the Rock and He rolled my blues away" all the way home! It was sooooo cute! She was a little off key, but it sounded perfect to me!! I will post some pics later.

New things!

This is a new day and with a new day comes new things! Well, we got a new exer-saucer/bouncer seat toy for Rachel yesterday, but didn't get it put together til today..........it quite a feat to put it together, but alas, it's finished!! (and safe too! All the screws are in! LOL!) Anyhow........she loves to be in it now and play with the different little toys that are on it. She looked in wonder at it all when I first put her in it today......it was so much fun to watch her! Here are some pics!

And now sister Julie can play with her and NOT pick her up all the time, LOL!!

Rachel also is finally mastering how to sit by herself, and is starting to stand....well, on her knees that is!! With a little help from the couch! Here are a couple more pictures!

St. Patrick's Day Fun!

Yesterday was such a fun day, especially after Julie came home from school. First we did her homework and her reading and got it out of the way.......that's always the first thing to do, after snack that is, lol! Anyways, we had a fun time doing a St. Patrick's day photo shoot.........I think both of the girls had fun with it! We got some very crazy wacky photos and also some really cute ones too, all in all, mommy was very pleased with the outcome!

For dinner tonite, no corned beef and cabbage for us, we did beef stew and biscuits! It sure tasted yummy!! Then daddy and the girls had fun playing while mommy uploaded the pictures to her computer. Daddy and Julie then went downstairs to play some games down there and I got to watch The Biggest Loser! I am sooooo addicted to that show, I just love it.....now I need to get the motivation and willpower like THEY ALL have and do the same thing! One of these days I am sure it'll hit me like a ton of bricks!

Daddy finally put Julie to bed, Rachel had fallen asleep a little earlier, and it was a great day for all of us! Here are some pics of our little photo shoot today!

Spring WAS in the air!

Now it's snowing again.....aaarrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!! Sometimes I think that Spring won't EVER get here!! LOL!! Snow, snow, and more snow.....that's Northern Chautauqua county for you!! Yucky! Anyhow...........

Today I am going to try and scrapbook a little bit, we'll see how far I actually get and how long baby Rachel stays asleep, lol!! If I get some stuff done, I will be sure to post it!

Spring is in the air.........

and I have the spring cleaning bug!!! Yep, I have started my spring cleaning already!! I still have lots of stuff to throw away, stuff to organize, and stuff that needs a place to be stored! It'll get there I'm sure, hopefully THIS will be the spring that everything gets done! I so need to get a few more totes or boxes to put away old clothes that don't fit all of us anymore....or maybe a better idea would be to give them to the Salvation Army store, then I wouldn't have to worry about storing them somewhere! hmmmmmm.......... I'd also like to get a small freezer for downstairs in the basement, a two door cabinet for in the kitchen or downstairs to keep extra canned goods in, some new curtains, some new flooring in the kitchen, new draperies in the living room.......oh man, I could go on and on and on........but, you get the idea!

Well, last night daddy finally was able to get the hardware he needed to put together Julie's old crib for Rachel!! Yay, now Rachel has a REAL bed to sleep in, and not just the pack-n-play or her bassinette! LOL!! Wow, she got a new highchair and a new bed (well, new to her)all within a couple of days.....I am sooo impressed, aren't you?!

Today turned out to be a pretty sunny day......maybe that's why it seems like spring out.......the sun is melting alot of the snow too! Yay! I cannot WAIT for this winter to be over with!

New High Chair for Baby!

Yay, baby has a new high chair, now Rachel can join us at the table for meals! Although she won't quite be eating the food we eat yet, she will still be stuck with her baby food, but, she can now be an active part of the family at the dinner table! WooooHooooooo!!

She really loves having her own chair now too!! Big sister can help feed her as well, both girls love that!! Rachel is now eating sweet potatoes, butternut squash, pears, applesauce, and is now trying green beans......those aren't going over too well though, lol, but we'll keep trying them for a few days!
